Welcome to Moorni Limited, an online Indian takeaway and table reservation service based in Scotland. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

2. Use of Website
a. You must be at least 18 years old to use our website and services.
b. By using our website, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Online Orders
a. All orders placed through our website are subject to our acceptance, which we may withhold or delay at our sole discretion.
b. We reserve the right to reject any order for any reason, including but not limited to unavailability of products or services, errors in pricing or product descriptions, or suspected fraudulent activity.
c. Payment for online orders must be made using a valid credit or debit card or through our cash on delivery option (see section 4 for restrictions on alcohol orders).
d. We reserve the right to cancel any order if we suspect fraudulent activity or any other violation of these terms and conditions.
4. Payment
For Food Orders:
- Payment can be made by Visa, Mastercard, or cash on delivery (for registered customers only)
For Alcohol Orders:
- All alcohol orders must be paid for in full online at the time of ordering using Visa or Mastercard
- We do not accept cash on delivery or cash on collection for any order containing alcohol
- Full payment is required before dispatch of any alcohol
5. Alcohol Sales – Age Restriction
We sell alcoholic beverages only to customers aged 18 or over. By placing an order that includes alcohol, you confirm that:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- If you are purchasing as a gift, the recipient is also 18 years or older
6. Alcohol Sales – Licensing Hours
In compliance with Scottish licensing law:
- Alcohol can only be purchased between 10:00 am and 10:00 pm
- Any alcohol order placed after 10:00 pm will not be accepted
- The last delivery slot for alcohol is the 9:30pm–10:00pm timeslot
- The last pickup slot for alcohol is 9:50pm
7. Challenge 25 Policy
We operate a Challenge 25 policy for all alcohol deliveries and collections. This means:
a. If you look under 25, you will be asked to provide valid photo ID on delivery or pickup.
b. Acceptable ID includes:
- Passport
- UK driving licence (full or provisional)
- PASS-accredited proof of age cards (such as Young Scot card or CitizenCard)
c. Failure to provide valid ID when requested will result in refusal of the alcohol delivery or pickup.
d. No refund will be issued for alcohol that cannot be delivered due to age verification failure, as the goods have been dispatched in accordance with your order and the failure is due to circumstances on your part.
e. Our delivery drivers and staff reserve the right to refuse delivery or collection if the recipient appears underage or intoxicated.
8. Delivery – Alcohol Orders
Delivery Hours
- Alcohol deliveries are only made during our licensed hours and must be completed by 10:30 pm
- No alcohol deliveries are made between midnight and 6:00 am
Delivery Requirements
- All deliveries containing alcohol require a signature from someone aged 18 or over
- The delivery address must not be a PO Box
- We cannot leave alcohol with a neighbour or in a safe place
- If no one aged 18 or over is available to accept delivery, the alcohol will be retained and you will be contacted to arrange re-delivery (additional charges may apply) or collection
9. Collection – Alcohol Orders
- Alcohol orders for collection must be picked up by 9:50 pm
- Valid photo ID will be required on collection if the customer looks under 25
- Alcohol will not be released to anyone appearing underage or intoxicated
10. Food Orders – Cancellation and Refunds
For Food Items Only
Due to the nature of our products and for hygiene reasons:
- All food orders are non-cancellable and non-refundable once preparation has begun
- This includes orders cancelled after preparation has started, orders not collected or accepted at delivery, and incorrect selections made by the customer
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, contracts for the supply of food and beverages are exempt from the 14-day cancellation right that applies to most online purchases. This means once you place your food order, you are committed to purchase.
11. Alcohol Orders – Cancellation and Returns
For Alcohol Items Only
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your alcohol order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
Before dispatch:
- If you wish to cancel an order containing alcohol before dispatch, please contact us immediately by phone on 01505 367567
- If cancellation is successful, a full refund will be issued
After receipt:
- We can only accept returns of unopened alcohol in its original packaging
- You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless they are faulty
- Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods
For damaged or faulty goods:
- Please inspect all items immediately upon delivery
- Report any damage to the delivery driver at the time of delivery
- Contact us within 7 days by phone on 01505 367567 with details and photo evidence of any damage
12. Mixed Orders (Food + Alcohol)
If your order contains both food and alcohol:
- The food portion is non-cancellable once preparation has begun (see section 10)
- The alcohol portion may be cancelled subject to the 14-day rule (see section 11)
- However, if the alcohol has already been dispatched as part of a combined delivery, we may only be able to accept returns of unopened alcohol after delivery
13. Table Reservations
a. Table reservations must be made through our website and are subject to availability.
b. We reserve the right to cancel any table reservation at our sole discretion, including but not limited to unavailability of tables or suspected fraudulent activity.
c. You agree to arrive at the reserved time for your table and to vacate the table at the end of the reservation time.
d. We reserve the right to charge a fee for any no-show or cancellation of a table reservation. [INSERT AMOUNT IF APPLICABLE]
14. Pricing and Availability
a. All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
b. We strive to ensure all products are available but cannot guarantee stock.
c. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you to arrange a refund or alternative.
15. Intellectual Property
a. All content on our website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Moorni Limited or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
b. You may not use or reproduce any content from our website without our prior written consent.
16. Limitation of Liability
a. We will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from any interruption, suspension, or termination of our website or services.
b. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation.
17. Governing Law
a. These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland.
b. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
